Re: A “Small” Topic of Our “Atago-shinko faith” Appears in the Community Paper(私どもの「愛宕信仰」の記事が コミュニティ紙に掲載されます)

【In English】
“Atago-shinko faith” is a Shinto faith about fire prevention, which originated at the Atago-jinja Shrine (愛宕神社) in the southwest of Kyoto City. The Shrine enshrines on the top of Mt. Atago (924 meter high) and is the grand head shrine of 900 schools all over in Japan.

A “small” topic about the ritual of our hamlet will be issued tomorrow (Nov. 23, 2024), based upon my “small” answers on Nov. 02 questioned from the “Native Kohoku Man”, who has actively worked under the theme of the nature and the involvement in people of Kohoku.

Since it has been getting colder and colder day by day, we are to start using heating appliances such as petroleum fan heaters and electric carpets. We cannot live without fire. Thanks to fire, we can cook and stay warm. On the other hand, fire is dangerous if treated without care,
We cannot be too careful to take precautions against fires!
