It was not a good weather today, all day raining and a bit chilly, quite different from those days up to yesterday. But, it was a good day for me, since I was able to set aside enough time in order to sort out on how much I spent for the nice tour in the last month, and look back over the valuable experiences.
The total expenditure was calculated to be 164,965 JPY (1,041 USD) for the 7 days.
Dominant ones are:
- Transportation : 64,238 JPY (39 %)
- Hotel (Sapporo 4 nights; Obihiro 2 nights) : 54,310 JPY (33 %)
- Dinner (outside) : 33,165 JPY (20 %)
It was lucky enough to be able to make it reasonable that I made the prior reservation for the air tickets and hotels, since the events’ schedule had been already fixed more than 4 months ago. I used a discount air ticket which always surprised me to know that we can fly to the capital by only 12,000 JPY for one way. And both the hotels in Sapporo and Obihiro were quite satisfactory for a frugal boy like me, very convenient from the busiest street but quiet, and the breakfast were fulfilling.
The delicious dinner with my old friends at the biggest nightlife district were unforgettably precious and impressive time, chatting each other’s recent histories as much as we wanted.
Sightseeing and entrance fees were quite small, since I didn’t have to pay for the memorable main events. Walking around the old and wide campus was, of course nothing, and the museums, parks, and gardens I visited were all inexpensive, comparing with the ones in other countries.
And, above all things, I have to thank the God and my ancestors, for giving me such brisk and fine autumn days during the tour.
The tour became one of the highest cost-benefit performance, the most impressive and most valuable memories in my life.

4ヶ月以上前から予定が決まっていたため、航空券やホテルを事前に予約でき、費用を抑えられたのは幸運でした。利用した格安航空券は、片道わずか12,000円で道都まで移動できることにいつも驚かされます。札幌と帯広のホテルも、つましい旅を好む私には十分すぎるほど満足のいくものでした。繁華街から近く便利でありながらも静かで、朝食も充実していました。
ここで最大の歓楽街（すすきの）で旧友たちと楽しんだ夕食は、忘れられないほど貴重で印象深い時間でした。お互いの近況を心ゆくまで語り合うことができました。
観光や施設への入場にかかる費用はわずかでした。旅のハイライトとなる主要なイベントには費用がかからなかったからです。広大な懐かしのキャンパスの散策はもちろん無料でしたし、訪れた博物館や公園、庭園なども、海外の施設と比べればどれも安価でした。何よりもまず、旅の間、これほど爽やかで素晴らしい秋晴れに恵まれたことを、神様とご先祖様に感謝しなければなりません。
この旅は、費用対効果が極めて高く、私の人生において最も印象深く、価値ある思い出のひとつとなりました。
