When I walked along a nostalgic road after doing my shopping at the roadside station, I happened to see a lot of cameramen standing by for something. I soon realized that the area is now famous for “Grandma at Yamamoto-yama”, an old female eagle coming from Russia for spending her life here in winter. According to the paper, she came again at the mountain on Nov. 10 this year, and this is her 28th continuous visit this winter. It’s a pity that I was not able to see the “Grandma” then.
