Re: A “Punctual and Faithful” Flower, Spider Lily (律儀な花:彼岸花)

When the Autumnal Equinox Day approaches, I cannot help but be surprised to find these red flowers PUNCTUALLY starting blooming at around berms or paths between paddy fields.
Seems to be a bit slightly later this autumn than a usual year though, probably due to that extraordinary hotness this past summer…

秋分の日が近づくと田んぼの畦道などに必ず咲き始めるこの赤い花を見つけると、私は驚かずにはいられません。(なんて時間厳守で“律儀な”花なんでしょう!)


今年の秋は、この夏の異常な暑さのせいか、例年より少し遅いようですが……
