Re: “The Life after Passing 60″ —– How to Live When Getting Older —– (六十歳からの人生 老いゆくとき、わたしのいかし方)

[In English]

Since it’s been continuing cold rain and snow from yesterday, I read the book authored by Ayako SONO (曽野 綾子), who is now 92 years old.

Some points that I was impressed and agreed so are as follows.
1) Everybody, even after becoming older, can stay happily if he/she thinks they can do something for others. (If not, they will feel down from the day when they know it.)
2) Even after getting old, an aged person should NOT entirely depend on others and the society but behave oneself as possible as he/she can.
3) A duty for an aged person can be thought to undergo loneliness and to find oneself from the solitude.
4) An aged has to always keep oneself clean, not without caring about their appearance due to their age.
5) Everybody, how old he/she gets older, has to continue training oneself, not to cause others inconvenience mentally and physically.
6) An aged has to try to find his/her own favorite pastime in their everyday life.
7) The best way for aged’ healthy life is to stay “Self-independent”.
8) An aged who has kept studying and being cultured will be the “Beautiful” elderly.
9) An aged should think in some corner of their mind that there might happen the worst thing.
10) Everybody is born and die alone. Hence, he or she has to live like oneself.

[Note] I’ve made it a rule to leave some points, since I will totally forget even I read the book in a month…(^-^;

【注】私は、本を読んでも1ヶ月も経つと読んだこと自体をすっかり忘れてしまうので、要点を残すことにしました …(^-^;
