Re: The Effect of Daily Walking Exercise to Our Longevity Benefit (日常の継続的なウォーキングの健康への効果)

A Walking Man

I’ve made it a rule to make a walking exercise every day. The statistics for about 5 years after my retirement from the office is 11,000 – 12,000 steps a day. The latest research revealed that “The major takeaway is there’s a lot of evidence suggesting that moving even a little more is beneficial, particularly for those who are doing very little activity,” Paluch says. “More steps per day are better for your health. And the benefit in terms of mortality risk levels off around 6,000 to 8,000 for older adults and 8,000 to 10,000 for younger adults.” This encourages me a lot, because I’m a “younger adult”! (^^♪
