Since it was a tranquil Indian summer yesterday, I started walking from a supermarket, after parking there. I had a small purpose to visit the village shrine at some hamlet in Takatsuki town, since the community magazine had reported the breathtaking autumn foliage in front of the pond in the precinct. The maple leaves seemed to be already a bit late, but I was a bit more surprised to see the golden leaves of the gingko trees there. The name of the hamlet is Inokuchi, which is known as a home village of Inokuchi Danjo (井口弾正, died in 1531, being sacrificed with his lord), a local strong man in the provincial period (16 century).
Then, I continued walking to another hamlet called Amenomori, which is famous as a home village of Amenomori Hoshu (1668 – 1755) who was a Confusion scholar in Tsushima domain in the 18 century.
I walked a lot more than 15,000 steps, without feeling any fatigue. It was a worthwhile exercise for me, appreciating the landscape and being able to study the local history.

1万5千歩以上も歩きましたが、全く疲れを感じることはありませんでした。初冬の風景を楽しみながら、地元の歴史を学ぶことができたのは、私にとって価値のある運動でした。
