As I’ve continued preparing the itinerary by taking advantage of my time to spare, so I have almost fixed the schedule for the half month individual tour. The first purpose is to attend at my niece’s wed. in the Westcoast (Ventura, CA) on July, 24 (Mon.) And, thanks to my younger brother Toshi’s courtesy, we (my wife and I) will be able to fly to the UK, after the US.
The rough schedule is as follows;
July, 22: Departure from KIX to LAX by JAL
22 – 25: CA in the US
26: London [1] (Westminster, The British Museum, Covent Garden, etc.)
27: Cotswolds, Bibury, Burford (Beautiful English Villages)
28: London [2] (Abbey road, The Big Ben, Coca Cola London Eye, etc.)
29: Southampton (Seacity Museum, Tudor House, The Solent Sky Museum, etc.)
30: Dochester (Hardy’s Cottage, The City Museum, etc.)
※To visit Hardy’s Cottage is the second purpose for me.
31: Brighton (The Royal Pavillion, British Airways i360)
Aug., 1 – 2: LA (Getty Center, Civic Center, China Town, etc.)
4: Osaka
5: Welcome Back to my home
Since they say that railways networks have been well developed into every detail in the UK, we are going to use the Sothern Trains and the South Western Railways when we trip around the Southern coastal area.
I made the reservations for the round-trip airline tickets, all our staying hotels (14 nights), trains and the bus tour to Cotswolds. Our budget is estimated to be no less than 1,200,000JPY, excluding our foods, local transportation fares, admissions for museums, for example and Souvenirs. (Toshi is generous enough to kindly pay for the airline tickets, which is more than half of the total.) What a big money it costs! But, I think it might be rather reasonable, if compared with the cost about 800,000 JPY for an adult for 8 days package tour to London, Paris and Rome, together with a tour conductor.
Well, how many times do we have to sweat during the tour, I wonder? Honestly, I’ve already prepared myself for the worst, and have had the courage to get through any troubles, since I’ve experienced a lot with my tour guide jobs so far. (^_-)-☆
PS: I’m going to make a small report about the spots on the way of the tour.

米英旅行の旅程と予算見積もり
私は、これまで空いた時間を利用してコツコツとこの旅程を組み立てる作業をしてきましたが、やっと半月間の個人旅行の日程をほぼ固めることができました。 第一の目的は、7月24日（月）カリフォルニア州西海岸のベンチュラにて行われる姪の結婚式に出席することです。 そして、弟（トシ）の厚意のおかげで、私たち（妻と私）は、この後、英国にも飛ぶことができることになりました。
大まかなスケジュールは以下の通りです。
7月22日：JALで関西空港からロサンゼルス空港へ出発
22 – 25: 米国のカリフォルニア州
26：ロンドン[1] (ウェストミンスター、大英博物館、コベントガーデンなど）
27: コッツウォルズ、バイブリー、バーフォード (美しいイギリスの村)
28：ロンドン[2] (アビーロード、ビッグベン、コカ・コーラ ロンドンアイなど)
29：サウサンプトン（海洋都市博物館、チューダーハウス、ソレントスカイ博物館など）
30：ドチェスター（ハーディーズ・コテージ、市立博物館など）
※ハーディーズ・コテージに行くのは、第二の目的です。
31：ブライトン（ロイヤル・パビリオン、ブリティッシュ・エアウェイズ i360）
8月1日～2日：ロサンゼルス（ゲッティセンター、シビックセンター、チャイナタウンなど）
4：大阪（泊）
5：我が家へお帰りなさい！
イギリスは鉄道網が隅々まで発達しているとのことなので、南部沿岸地域を旅する際にはサザーン・トレインとサウス・ウェスタン鉄道を利用する予定です。
往復の航空券、全宿泊ホテル（14泊）、電車、コッツウォルズ行きのバスツアーについては、既に予約しました。 予算は、食費、現地の交通費、美術館などの入場料、お土産を除くと少なくとも120万円を見積もっております。 （このうち、弟が気前よく総額の過半を占める航空券代を負担してくれるので大変助かります。） なんと大金がかかるのでしょう！ しかし、ものは考えよう….添乗員付きのロンドン、パリ、ローマ8日間のJALパッケージツアーでは大人1名あたり約80万円かかることに比べれば、むしろリーズナブルかもしれないと考えております。
さて、私どもはツアー中に何回冷や汗を流すことになるのでしょうか？ しかし、私はこれまでツアーガイドの仕事で多くの冷や汗経験を積んできているので、すでに最悪の事態への心準備をしており、正直に言うとどんなトラブルが起こっても乗り越えることができる度胸が備わっています。(^_-)-☆
